- 4 cups filtered water
- 10 green tea bags
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup sugar or to taste
- Ice to serve
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat until bubbles form on the surface.
Add sugar to the hot water and stir until completely dissolved, making sure no sugar crystals remain.
Remove from heat and add tea bags, then let steep for 8-10 minutes until the tea reaches your desired strength.
Remove tea bags and mix in pineapple juice, stirring gently to combine all flavors evenly.
Transfer to a pitcher and let cool at room temperature before placing in the refrigerator to chill completely.
To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the cold pineapple iced tea over the top.
- Use filtered water for the best clean taste. Tap water might have chemicals that affect flavor.
- Fresh pineapple juice gives better results than concentrate. You can juice half a large pineapple for homemade juice.
- For a keto-friendly version, substitute sugar with a granulated sweetener like stevia or monk fruit.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on your preference and the sweetness of your juice.
- This recipe makes about five cups of tea, with each serving being approximately one cup per person.
