Peach Mocktail

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz peach puree
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon honey
  • 8-10 basil leaves
  • 3 oz kombucha or soda water
  • Ice cubes
  • Tajin or sugar for rim optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the puree. Blend five peach slices with two tablespoons of liquid until smooth.
  • Mix the base. Put peach puree and lemon juice in your shaker with basil. Press basil gently.
  • Add sweetness. Mix honey with a bit of warm water, then add to the shaker.
  • Shake well. Add ice to the shaker, close tight, and shake until cold.
  • Rim the glass. Run lemon on the edge and dip in Tajin if wanted. Add fresh ice.
  • Pour and finish. Strain the mix into your glass and top with cold kombucha or soda.
  • Garnish. Add a basil leaf or peach slice on top for a pretty look.

Notes

  • Fresh or canned peaches work. Leave skins on for extra fiber or remove for a smoother drink.
  • Kombucha adds probiotics. Choose ginger flavor for an extra kick or any flavor you enjoy.
  • Make base ahead. Mix everything except the fizzy part up to 24 hours before serving.
