Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Total Time 10 minutes mins
- 2 cups fresh mango chunks (about 2 medium mangoes)
- 1 cup milk
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- whipped cream optional, for topping
Peel and cut the mangoes into chunks, removing all flesh from around the pit.
Add the mango chunks to your blender.
Add vanilla ice cream, milk, ice cubes, and vanilla extract to the blender.
Add honey or sugar if using (taste your mangoes first - you might not need added sweetener).
Blend on low speed first, then increase to high until smooth and creamy (about 30-45 seconds).
Pour into chilled glasses and top with whipped cream if desired.
Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy!
- For best results, use ripe, sweet mangoes with yellow-orange flesh.
- Pre-chill your glasses in the freezer for an extra refreshing drink.
- For a thicker shake, use less milk or add more ice cream.
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute with coconut milk and dairy-free ice cream.
