Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • Ice cubes optional, for thicker consistency
  • Whipped cream and banana slice for garnish

Instructions

  • Peel and slice the ripe bananas into chunks.
  • Add banana chunks, vanilla ice cream, and cold milk to your blender.
  • Add vanilla extract and honey or maple syrup if using.
  • Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour into chilled glasses and top with whipped cream and a banana slice if desired.
  • Serve immediately for best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For an extra thick milkshake, freeze banana chunks for at least 2 hours before blending.
  • The riper your bananas, the sweeter your milkshake will be without added sweeteners.
  • For a dairy-free version, use coconut milk ice cream and your favorite plant-based milk.
  • Add a handful of ice cubes during blending if you prefer a frostier texture.
  • Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, though fresh is best!
