Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar for the rim
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup plus more for the rim
  • 4 ounces apple cider
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 3-4 ounces ginger beer
  • Ice cubes

For the Garnish(Optional):

  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 apple slice
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1 piece of star anise

Instructions

  • Pour maple syrup and cinnamon sugar onto two separate small plates.
  • Dip your glass rim into maple syrup, then roll it in cinnamon sugar.
  • Add apple cider, lemon juice, and maple syrup to your shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake hard for fifteen seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with ginger beer and give it a gentle stir.
  • Add cinnamon stick, apple slice, rosemary, and star anise on top.
  • Serve right away and enjoy while it's nice and cold!

Notes

  • Fresh-pressed apple cider tastes way better than regular filtered juice. It's worth finding!
  • Adjust the maple syrup based on how sweet your apple cider already is.
  • Skip the cinnamon sugar rim if you want less sweetness overall. Totally fine!
  • Different ginger beer brands have different spice levels. Pick what you like best!
  • Keep your garnishes in cold water until you're ready to use them.
